Toronto – At least twelve civilians are killed in the latest string of drone attacks in the Amhara region of Ethiopia. The drone attacks took place in Shoa and Gojjam on Friday and Saturday this week.
Children and elders are among the victims, according to an Anchor Media report. A video footage it aired shows a residential area that was purportedly hit by a drone strike in the Shoa area of the Amhara region. Families are seen grieving to mourn a little boy who was killed by the attack.
In a separate incident, six other civilians were killed in the Gondar area of the region.
The intensified drone attack that is planned to kill Fano forces is reportedly directly under the command of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, according to some sources.
However, it was impossible to verify from independent sources if the prime minister is leading the drone attack operation. During the war against the TPLF forces, there was a time where the state media aired video footage of the Prime Minister directing drone attacks from “the situation room.”
The government has not remarked about the drone strikes in the Amhara region. It has, however, been making claims of significant military gains against Fano forces in Gojjam.
On the other hand, credible sources from Ethiopia are reporting the government has suffered defeats. According to the latest update from Fano forces, over 1500 soldiers were killed in Gojjam only and over 800 captured since the government declared what it called “Final operation” about a month or so ago.
About a week ago, a video footage purportedly showing a drone that was reportedly shot by the rebels were circulating on social media.
From the trends in the past year and half, the defense force resorts to drone strikes when the infantry operations turn out to be a failure.
In a recent interview with a pro-government cyber media, the defense chief of staff Berhanu Jula denied that drones are not frequently used in the war in the Amhara region. Asked if he thinks the war will be ending soon, he stated contradictory statements. He said that the “operation in the Amhara region will end this year.” He also said that “they will continue to fight as long as it takes.”

Ethiopians have made Ethiopia infrastructure so weak, so vulnerable
Senseless and if there’s not an agreement that we can reach editors concerning that Africa is being destabilized within Ethiopia. Than we can reach to agree that this is disenfranchisement at best. Do you have why this is disenfranchisement? Because the entire Black world can see humanity being shattered in Ethiopia.
Blessed love
