Toronto – Earlier this week, the office of the Prime Minister announced the appointment of a new Minister for Peace, indirectly revealing the removal of Benalf Andualem, who had held the position since 2021.
On Monday, state media reported that Benalf has been appointed as Ambassador, effective December 2 . However, the source did not specify which diplomatic mission he has been assigned to.
His removal from office was announced just days after he appeared in a Federal court in Addis Ababa as a witness in the case of Taye Dendea, who was reportedly abducted on Wednesday as he left prison following his release on a 20,000 bail.
