Toronto – Despite malicious campaigns to tarnish the image of Ethiopian Airlines from left and right, the Airlines continues to get accolades for service excellence.
On Thursday, the airline announced that it has received the “US President’s Lifetime Achievement Award.” The award is a recognition for the Airline’s “outstanding contributions and dedicated service to communities in the United States.”
The airline has been serving communities in the United States for over 25 years, according to an update from the Airlines. It is also noted that Ethiopia has been active in community outreach programs and involved in supporting “educational initiatives, sports, healthcare projects, and cultural exchanges.”

Ethiopian Airlines received the Award during the 8th Annual Gala Dinner – an event that the Black IAM organization hosted – at the Hilton Atlanta Airport Hotel – it was reported.
A news update from the airline quoted Mesfin Tasew, CEO of Ethiopian Airlines, as saying “The President’s Lifetime Achievement Award is a testament to the hard work and commitment of our employees, partners, and stakeholders.”
Furthermore, he said “Our commitment to excellence and the spirit of unity has been the driving force behind our services for almost eight decades. This accolade is not only a recognition of our past efforts but also a bright beacon for the future, guiding us towards even greater heights in service and connectivity.”
Ethiopian Airlines is a member of “the America’s TSA PreCheck® program.”

This award should be given to TPLF leaders.
Excellent. This is good news. This award is a reflection of Ethiopian Airlines’ great achievement. I have been saying for several years that Ethiopian Airlines is simply the best. I would like to say to all staff of the Ethiopian airlines: Congratulations.
However, I would like to mention that Ethiopian Airlines should try to find a solution to the problem it is facing now regarding the flight to Asmara after 30th September. As a frequent traveller to Asmara there were times when passengers were arriving at Asmara airport without their luggage. I think it is appropriate to send a senior Ethiopian airlines manager to Asmara and explain to the authorities there to try to find a lasting solution to this misunderstanding. The airline’s manager should assure the director of the Eritrean Aviation Authority things of this kind will not happen again as so many complaints were submitted frequently to him.
The other important point, which is worrying passengers, is the Ethiopian Airline’s fare to and from Asmara is becoming so expensive. I think a satisfactory solution to this problem, too, should be found.
