Is LA burning?
In God we trust, we stretch our prayers to Thee in heaven,
The infinite Creator, who controls the twilight zone.
Forgive us our sins, accept our redemption,
Show us our salvation to freedom and righteousness,
To the highest mode of morality, where forgiveness is our reality.
My Los Angeles, symbol of beauty,
Mosaic of diversity, home to all humanity,
You don’t deserve such calamity.
God, give us stability, forgive our beloved city.
My Los Angeles, this is a cruel reality,
You don’t deserve such brutality.
My beautiful city, rise up to your history,
Rise up to your fame and dignity.
Abandon calamity, stop nature’s insanity,
Avoid the ashes of obscurity.
Give us our daily bread, restore our abode,
Our Creator, in You, God, we trust.
Hallelujah, Almighty God.
