Police says it has not yet identified those behind the killings of Surgeon Andualem Dagne

Borkena
Toronto – Dr. Andualem Dange, a surgeon who has been practicing at Tibebe Ghion Specialized Hospital in Bahir Dar, is reportedly gunned down. He was Director of the surgery department and a researcher at Bahir Dar University college of health science.
Those who are behind it are described as “unidentified gunmen.” Bahir Dar City Administration police department head, Commander Walelign Bimerew, is cited as saying that the incident occurred around 7:30 P.M. local time.
Some sources say he was heading home from work when he was taken out of a car and shot dead in the Koshe locality of the city.
Bahir Dar police have a bit of a different narrative. A fire was shot at two vehicles; one of them escaped and the other which Dr, Andualem was driving was repeatedly shot. Police say they took forensic evidence from the scene of the attack and are investigating it. It has confirmed that it has not yet established the identity of the perpetrators.
Hundreds of thousands of social media posts seem to point fingers at the government.
No further detail is available at this time other than the claim that “the government is investigating the matter.” Andualem Abebe, 37, was a liver surgeon.
