Toronto – The Ethiopian Airlines on Thursday announced the addition of a new aircraft. It is intended for its cargo operation.
“Ethiopian Cargo is proud to expand its capacity and enhance its global operations with the addition of a new Boeing 777 Freighter Aircraft, ET- BAB.,” the airlines said in its latest update.
Ethiopia Airlines stated it saw “growing demand” for cargo service across the world and sees the new delivery as a “milestone that strengthens our ability to serve global markets with increased efficiency and reliability.”
The Newly arrived Boeing 777 Freighter Aircraft ET- BAB delivered humanitarian aid in its first flight. For Ethiopian Airlines, that exemplifies its “commitment to making a meaningful impact in our corporate social responsibilities.”
Before the new addition, Ethiopian airlines has been using 10 Boeing B777-200LRF and 3 Boeing B767-300F for its cargo services. The airline currently has 151, including the new addition, aircrafts for its operation including two Airbus A350-1000. Sources indicate that the airline has ordered about 100 new planes.
